Our comprehensive driver education program consists of a 24-hour online, self-paced class followed by four 2-hour behind-the-wheel lessons. Upon completion, students receive a certificate from DriveSmart to take the driving test at the BMV.

Steps to Getting Your Driver's License

1. Register for driver education.
2. Obtain a temporary permit from the BMV.
3. Check the email you used to register for the code to get into the online course.
4. Complete the 24-hour online, self-paced class.
5. Log into your student account on our website, upload the completion certificate for the online class, and upload a photo of your permit.
6. Use your student account to schedule your drive times.
7. After completing the eight hours of behind-the-wheel training, you'll receive a certificate from DriveSmart to present to the BMV to take your driving test.
